You’ll learn how to make traditional Somali tea, sambusa, and a tamarind chilli sauce. Try new flavors and techniques with the instruction of Mahado Ali and Executive Chef Matt Mason. Come learn to make authentic tortillas, salsa, chicken flautas, and more from scratch!
Maria G Ruiz from Long Prairie, MN will share her process and tips for making traditional, homemade Mexican cuisine. Attendees will utilize unique kitchen equipment like the molcajete to prepare salsa verde and wooden tortilla press to make fresh corn tortillas.

Just Juice: A Class for the Young and Young at Heart

At this hands-on class, participants will get to hold, smell, and taste the fresh ingredients and the delicious fresh-pressed juice! You’ll learn about the seasonality and availability of produce in MN and the benefits of drinking fresh-pressed juice from Jami Nelson, food entrepreneur and owner of Just Juice.
Chef Matt Annand of Prairie Bay Grill will then put a new spin on the ingredients to make unique ice cream flavors you’ll be craving all summer long!
