What is the cost of a Sprout Market Share CSA?

What is the difference between a full and half share?
Each share option contains the same amount of produce, however a full share receives one every week while the half share receives one every two weeks.
How many people will a share feed and what share option would be best for me?
This is a difficult question to answer because it really depends on individual eating and cooking habits as well as diets. Typically, a full share will be sufficient for a 2 person household who cook at home often and love vegetables. If this description fits your family a full share may be the best option. If your family goes out to eat often or isn’t used to cooking meals with lots of fresh produce you may prefer the half share option.
What are the prices and payment options for a share?
To secure a share, we ask for a $100 down payment, followed by a $100 monthly payment until paid in full.

What if I am out of town?
We understand that being available for every single week’s pick-up is not always possible. If there are any times that you will be out of town, on vacation or for whatever reason absolutely cannot pick-up your share please do the following:
1-See if there isn’t a family member, friend or neighbor that could pick it up. It would make a great “thank you” gift for whoever is pet or house sitting for you! 🙂
2-Call or e-mail us in advance to either make alternative arrangements for that week or to let us know you will not be picking up.
What are the times and locations for drop off sites?
Our drop off times and locations for this year have yet to be determined. As soon as they are decided we will communicate the schedule to all members via e-mail and our website.
What if I am not able to use everything in my share before it goes bad?
With more perishable items we will try and include ideas on how to make them last longer at home or how to preserve them (freeze,dry etc). Another option is finding a family member, friend or neighbor who would be able to take any excess off of your hands.
What if I forget or don’t show up for pick up?
We pack as many shares as we have on the list for that day and if there are any left over after drop offs they will either be donated to the local food shelf or the pantry of our workers.
What if we are not familiar with an item in the share?
We plan to send out a weekly e-mail which will include a list of what is in each share, where it is coming from, as well as a description of any unique items and a couple of recipes to help you utilize your shares. If you don’t receive emails, use the internet or have further questions we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have to make your CSA experience more enjoyable.
Can I split my share with another family?
Yes, of course! It is common for two families to go in on a CSA and share it. We just as that you please provide us with both families names, e-mails and phone numbers to make communication easy.
Are the items in the shares organic?
Being that we are working with multiple growers it is not possible to guarantee the product is going to be certified organic. However, we pride ourselves with working with some of the top growers in our region who practice sustainable, beyond organic farming, and are committed to providing healthy, local foods to the community.
